The following data is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not have access to it:

Data sent to our servers

The following data is sent to our backend server to generate AI-powered responses:

How we use your data

Search queries and chat messages are sent to our server, which forwards them to Anthropic's API to generate recipe suggestions and modifications. We do not store your queries or chat history on our servers. They are processed in real-time and discarded.

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising. We do not create user profiles or track you across apps.

Third-party services

We use Anthropic's Claude API to power AI features. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to data processed through their API. You can review it at anthropic.com/privacy.

No account required

Tallow does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information such as your name, email, or phone number.

Data retention

Since we do not store your data on our servers, there is nothing to delete. All your recipes, notes, and plans are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all local data.

Children's privacy

Tallow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Analytics and tracking

Tallow does not include any analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or advertising frameworks.
